Specialized Concrete Placement, Spall Repair and Patching, Elastomeric Coatings
2009 ICRI Georgia Project of The Year Recipient. Corrosion related deterioration of the buildings exterior exposed columns were deemed structurally unsound. After shoriing was put into place, ERI repaired the damaged columns by removing the unsound material from each of the 36 columns, abrasively blasted the substrate, installed new reinforcement, and installed a one component shrinkage compensated micro-concrete designed for large volume structural repairs. After repairs were complete, a 100% acrylic coating was applied to all concrete surfaces.

Darlington School, Rome GA
Masonry, Sealants and Caulking
Due to water infiltration issues, ERI was contracted to install new stainless steel flashing at the library building located on the Darlington School campus in Rome, GA. This process requires the precise process of removing brick veneer as required to install the new fashing and re-install new brick to match.

Georgia State University
Specialized Concrete Placement
This Design-Bid-Build project consisted of the structural repair of two adjacent pedestrian bridges on the GSU campus along with repairs to the concrete slab, handicap ramp and stairs. Pedestrian safety was of upmost importance to GSU and ERI provided the knowledge and expertise to safely perform the work within the budget submitted and timeframe allowed.

Gwinnett College Library
Balcony / Plaza Deck Waterproofing
Constructed in 2010, the Georgia Gwinnett College Library is the first academic library in Georgia to earn LEED Gold certification and one of only seven in the nation. ERI performed the Installation of thermoplastic waterproofing membrane to elevated balcony decks prior to paver installation.

UGA - Caldwell Hall
Masonry, Sealants and Caulking
Caldwell Hall at UGA, home of the College of Environment and Design, was experiencing major water infiltration issues. Investigation determined that no thru wall flashing was originally installed in some areas allowing water to enter the building. Further investigation also determined that there were insufficient wall ties and the steel brick shelf angles were failing. ERI removed existing brick at these locations, installed new brick shelf angles, properly installed the required thru wall flashing, and replaced the brick with the proper number of brick ties. This remedial work helped stop the water infiltration issues.
